Year 2025 has started, and it's the dawn to fresh new ventures, renewed intentions & bountiful energy, due to a source that never stops giving: our very own "Sun".

In Sanskrit, "Makar Sankranti" means "the transition of the sun into the zodiac sign Capricorn" - essentially marking the sun's northward journey on the celestial path.

"Makar" translates to Capricorn and

"Sankranti" means transition or movement;

Hey Kids!

Let's get ready to have some fun because it's time for Makar Sankranti – a super colorful and happy festival celebrated all over India! 🌞✨

It’s all about:

  • Celebrating the harvest

(Harvest: Means we gather all the yum food growing in our backyard.. like farmers do 🎉),

  • Soaking up the warm sunshine 🌞, AND

  • Spending time with our favorite people.

Whether you’re flying kites, munching on sweet treats, or just sharing smiles,

Makar Sankranti is the perfect time to spread love and happiness.

Happy Makar Sankranti! 🎉🪁

Here's a wish from me to you and your parents and all of your family 💖 💖 💖

May the warmth of the Sun bring endless joy and happiness to your life. Happy Makar Sankranti 2025!

I would like to share a special gift of Warmth for you!

Hey kids! 💖

Let’s learn an AWESomE cool breathing trick that brings out the Sun In You & Me – Surya Bhedana! ☀️✨ It’s a fun breathing game that uses your right nostril to warm up your body.

Ready? Let’s go step by step:

How to Do Surya Bhedana:

  1. Get Comfy: Sit down in your favorite spot with your back straight like a tall tree. 🌳 Keep your neck nice and long too!

  2. Close Your Eyes: Gently close your eyes and imagine a magical dot between your eyebrows. This is your "third eye" – like a superhero’s special power spot! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

  3. Feel Your Breath: Take a few deep breaths. Imagine filling up your belly like a big balloon when you breathe in, and squishing it down when you breathe out. 🎈

  4. Use Your Right Hand: Let your left arm relax by your side. Now, with your right hand, gently close your left nostril using your Ring Finger (the tall finger right next to your pinky! 😉).

  5. Breathe In: Slowly take a deep breath through your right nostril. Feel that warm air filling your belly up! 😌

  6. Hold It: Hold the balloon belly for a few seconds (but not too long!).

  7. Switch Nostrils: Now close your right nostril with your thumb. Open your left nostril, and breathe out slooowly through it. 🌬️

  8. Repeat the Fun: Keep switching and breathing like this for about 30 seconds to 1 minute! Breathe in through the right, breathe out through the left. You’re doing awesOMe! 🎉

  9. Relax: Let your right arm come down to your side, and breathe into your belly balloon with both nostrils open. 😊

That’s it! With these easy steps, YOU have pierced the SUN inside you and brought out the WARMTH for your entire body to feel it and love it! 💖

Surya Bhedana is like giving your body a warm hug with your breath.

Don’t forget to try it when you feel chilly or just want to feel cozy inside! 😊
